Maintenance of DC Brushless Motors
(1) Before disassembly, use compressed air to blow off the dust on the motor surface and wipe it clean.
(2) Select the working place for motor disassembly and clean the
on-site environment.
(3) Be familiar with the structural characteristics and maintenance
technical requirements of electric motors.
(4) Prepare the tools (including special tools) and equipment
required for disassembly.
(5) In order to further understand the defects in the operation of
the motor, if conditions permit, inspection and testing can be
performed before disassembly. To do this, the motor will be load
tested and each component of the motor will be examined in detail
for temperature, sound, vibration and other conditions. Voltage,
current, speed, etc. will be tested and then the load will be
disconnected. Carry out no-load inspection test separately, measure
no-load current and no-load loss, and keep records.
(6) Cut off the power supply, remove the external wiring of the
motor, and make records.
(7) Choose a suitable voltage megohmmeter to test the insulation
resistance of the motor. In order to compare the insulation
resistance values measured during the last maintenance to
determine the insulation change trend and insulation status of the
motor, the insulation resistance values measured at different
temperatures should be converted to the same temperature, usually
converted to 75°C.
(8) Test the absorption rate K. When the absorption rate is greater
than 1.33, it indicates that the motor insulation is not affected
by moisture or the degree of moisture is not serious. For
comparison with previous data, the absorption ratio measured at any
temperature also needs to be converted to the same temperature.
Brushless Hair Dryer Principle
Brushless hair dryer. The principle is mainly based on
electromagnetic induction technology Q and electronic control
technology Q. The brushless motor is the core component of this
hair dryer. It consists of a stator, a rotor, a sensor, etc. It can
efficiently convert electrical energy into mechanical energy to
generate strong wind. The working principle of the brushless motor
is to use the rotor to generate reverse torque under the action of
a magnetic field to form an external airflow. In a brushless motor,
the commutation work is completed by the control circuit in the
controller (usually a Hall sensor Q+ controller, and the more
advanced technology is a magnetic encoder Q). Brushless motors
adopt electronic commutation, the wire does not move and the
magnetic pole rotates. Brushless motors use a set of electronic
equipment to sense the position of the permanent magnet poles
through Hall elements. Based on this perception, electronic
circuits are used to timely switch the direction of the current in
the coil to ensure that the magnetic force in the correct direction
is generated to drive the motor.
In addition, brushless hair dryers usually contain an electric
heating element Q, which is used to heat the air to form hot air.
The control circuit is responsible for controlling the speed and
direction of the motor to realize different functions of the hair
dryer, such as speed regulation and temperature control.
