Brushless motor, also known as permanent magnet synchronous motor, is an electric motor based on the action of electromagnetic field. Unlike traditional brush motors, brushless motors achieve synchronous rotation of the rotor through an electronic control system, without the need for brushes and commutators.
The working principle of a brushless motor is based on two main
parts: the rotor and stator.
1. rotor part: The rotor is composed of permanent magnets, which
maintain a certain collision field throughout the entire operation
process. This magnetic field can be generated by a permanent magnet
or by an electromagnetic coil.
2. stator part: The stator is composed of multiple sets of coils,
which are called the driving phase. The magnetic field generated by
the current passing through the driving phase interacts with the
rotor magnetic field.
The working principle is as follows:
1. Initial state: When the motor first starts working, the coil of
the driving phase cuts off the current supply. At this time, the
rotor is not subjected to any external force and remains in a
stationary state.
2. Detection position: A rotating position sensor is used to detect
the position of the rotor. This sensor can be a Hall sensor,
photoelectric sensor, or a complex commutator in a brushed motor.
3. Electronic control system: Based on the signal from the position
sensor, the electronic control system determines the current
position of the rotor and provides the correct current to the drive
phase's wire circle
4. Magnetic field intersection; According to the change in current,
the driving phase coil generates a different set of electromagnetic
fields. These magnetic fields interact with the magnetic field of
the rotor, generating electromagnetic forces.
5. Rotation: Due to the electromagnetic force acting on the rotor,
it begins to rotate. The electronic control system will monitor the
position of the rotor in real time and adjust the direction and
magnitude of the current as needed to maintain synchronous rotation
of the rotor.
Through the above working principles, brushless motors can provide
efficient and reliable rotation with lower noise and vibration
levels. Widely used in many devices and applications, such as
fascia guns, drones, and household appliances.
